Department of Business Information Technology

Welcome

The department was established in 2010 to keep pace with the technological and educational development in the field of management information systems to supply the local and regional market needs with qualified cadres. The importance of establishing this section comes from the global trend of using administrative information to computerize management systems in most sectors of public institutions and civil society institutions to keep pace with the era of globalization, knowledge economies, electronic governments and smart technology in the field of administrative work.

In order to keep pace with the rapid development in the field of management information systems, the department conducts a continuous review of plans, study decisions and scientific research and seeks to develop them continuously. Based on our constant keenness to keep pace with the continuous development in the field of learning and education and to upgrade our classification position at the local and global level and to achieve Jordanian strategies and visions in keeping pace with rapid progress During the smart revolutions in the world of economics and management, and the use of smart technology, which has become one of the basics and indicators of administrative creativity that leads to economic prosperity.

From this standpoint, we have begun to change the study plans so that they simulate the levels that should be within the Jordanian qualifications and their outputs. Thus, we have met the requirements of large companies, including medium and small, by providing them with competencies from the Department of Management Information Systems carrying the outputs, educational specifications, knowledge and practical skills.

After examining the local and regional market in the field of management information systems, I found that the number of companies in the field of specialization is high, the employment rate is medium and the competition rate is also moderate.

We have built these metrics on references such as employment sites in the Middle East and the Ministry of Higher Education records for the number of students in each major as a competitive indicator for postgraduate jobs, as well as the Chamber of Industry and Commerce guide. From this we see that the field of employment in this specialization is in continuous progress.
