Welcome

We, in the Department of Special Education, thank you for your interest and welcome all your inquiries about this vital specialization, as the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is one of the first Arab countries to pioneer in this field, which approved rights and legislations that deal with the rights of individuals with disabilities at an early date, and to achieve this goal it was imperative to Universities prepare qualified people to serve these individuals from the nation.

In light of the quantitative expansion and qualitative development in this field, and what was accompanied by a steady increase in the demand for qualified specialists in the various fields of special education from the centers concerned with serving individuals with disabilities, in addition to the shortage of human cadres in the Arab Gulf states, the Department of Special Education was established at the University of Jedara  .
