2019/2023 College of Engineering Action Plan to Implement Jadara University Strategic Plan:

JU Objective 1: To achieve excellence in education and remain committed to applying quality assurance and therefore meeting quality standards at Jadara University.

1) Obtain ABET- Engineering Accreditation Commission for the Program of Civil Engineering

2) Prepare for ABET- Engineering Accreditation Commission Criteria for the Programs of communications and computer engineering and Renewable Energy Engineering

3) Follow up with the JU Quality Assurance Center and prepare required documentation for Quality Assurance Award by the AQAHE

JU Objective 2: To Upgrade the University’s ranking locally and globally, and strengthen International Relations with Universities all over the world

4) Engage college faculty in multidisciplinary research and cooperation in the College Graduation Projects

5) Benchmarking through creating partnerships with international role-model programs

6) Increase the college number of publications to reach a minimum of 15 papers published in Esteemed Scopus Journals

JU Objective 3: To Focus on Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research as well as their relevance to Local Community Aspects.

7) Expand on applied research in the graduate program in Engineering Project Management

JU Objective 4: Create and provide a learning environment of excellence & innovation for both Staff and Students.

8) Follow up with the JU E-learning Center to improve the online learning and remove obstacles for an effective teaching/learning process. Continuous feedback from students and faculty shall be solicited and integrated into the continuous improvement process.

9) Hold an end of semester engineering convention organized by the Engineering Requirements Unit (ERU) at which: a) GP posters are exhibited; b) meeting with Program's industry panels; c) carry out an assessment of the Industry Training and Graduation Projects on the College of Engineering level.

JU Objective 5: To develop and build the capacity of Human Resources at a professional and academic level.

10) Cooperate with the JU Center for Professional Development and attend all training sessions.

JU Objective 6: To promote social responsibility and raise awareness of its importance.

11) The ERU is established within the College of Engineering with a task to create a contact list with the community and industry leaders in engineering. Form industry advisory boards for each program, and hold an annual meeting to evaluate engineering curricula, map the industry expectations, and review Programs' Educational Objectives.

JU Objective 7: To develop and maintain Campus infrastructure in accordance with engineering standards as well as safety standards.

12) Participate actively in the JU committees namely: the Safety Committee, and attend meetings of the University Engineering Office to share the responsibility of the development, wellbeing, and maintenance of the Jadara University infrastructure

JU Objective 8: To sharpen students’ learning and skills to maximize their competitiveness and deepen their citizenship morals.

13) Engage our Engineering students in engineering competitions nationally and internationally in the fields required by the Jordan Government for research and development such as water resources, housing, energy and sustainability.

JU Objective 9: Increase the University’s financial income and raise funds to support current & future programs.

14) Engage engineering faculty with sources of research funding and encourage them to apply for funding opportunities in the fields indicated in action # 13 above.
