Call for papers

All submitted papers will undergo a rigorous peer-review process and will be evaluated based on their originality, technical depth, research significance, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the conference themes. Accepted and presented papers will be submitted for possible inclusion in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, and are expected to be indexed by SCOPUS, ensuring high visibility and academic impact.

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. Papers should be written in English and formatted according to the IEEE conference template.
Each submitted paper should not exceed 6 pages, including figures, tables, and references.
All papers will be peer-reviewed by the SMILEs 2026 TPC based on quality, originality, and relevance.

All submitted papers will be subject to a plagiarism check by the SMILEs 2026 technical committee using plagiarism detection tools.
Papers with a similarity index of 25% or higher will be automatically rejected without review.

Main Submission Requirements

  1. Paper Format:
    Prepare your paper according to the official IEEE format.

  2. Submission System:
    Submit your paper online through the SMILEs 2026 Microsoft CMT system:
     https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/SMILE2026If you are new to CMT, you will need to create an account before submission.
  3. Double-Blind Review:
    SMILEs 2026 follows a double-blind review process.
    Please remove author names, affiliations, and acknowledgments from the manuscript before submission.
    Papers not following this guideline will not be reviewed.
  4. Page Limit:
    The standard length of a paper is 6 pages.
    Papers exceeding 6 pages are allowed up to a maximum of 8 pages, subject to an additional page charge: 7th–8th page: $25 USD per page.
  5. Authorship:
    The list of authors in the manuscript must exactly match the list entered in the CMT system at submission. This includes:
  • Full names of all authors in the correct order.
  • The corresponding author designation.
  • Affiliations as they appear on the paper.

Changes to the authorship (names, order, or affiliations) will not be permitted after paper acceptance.
